Third Rock from the Sun

 

Well I decided to go home one day after working hard on some class projects and killing NPCs in Warhammer Online.  During my family visit, I overheard my mom laughing out loud.  Now I’m curious about anything that makes my parents laugh, because I have to get in on that laughter.  I joined them in the media room and found out they were watching Third Rock from the Sun.  I vaguely remember that show, I never watched it religiously like I do Heroes or X-Play on G4, but as I started to watch their re-runs I couldn’t help but enjoy the show.  It made me wish I started to watch this show long ago when it was new.

 

As I watched it I started to remember some of the older shows that were on TV when I was a kid in the 80s-90s.  My all time favorite TV programs were shows like

 

·        Family Matters

·        Fresh Prince of Bellaire

·        Ghost Writer

·        Are you Afraid of the Dark

·        Star Trek Next Gen

·        Star Trek DS 9

·        The first 2 – 5 seasons of Simpsons

 

But for me my ALL time favorite TV show was Get Smart.  Don Adams was awesome as the clumsy version of James Bond.  His trademark telephone shoe was my favorite prop of the whole show, I remember when I made my own show phone from notebook paper cut outs and tapped them to the sole of my shoe.  But then the paper was taken from me by my teacher when she found out it was distracting me from what ever she was teaching XP.  I was a very distractible kid, it’s not my fault they didn’t talk about stuff like giant robots, thundercats, cartoons and things that had the word ‘POWER’ in them like Power Wheels.
